To restore backup:

  1. Download the backup file from FTP server to master server and extract the zip file.
  2. It will have two files:

    # database_name.gz
    # solusvm.conf
  3. Extract the database file like:

    # gunzip database_name.gz
  4. Restore database using the command below as an example:

    # MYSQL_PWD=$(cat /usr/local/solusvm/includes/solusvm.conf \
    | awk -F ":" '{print $3}') mysql $(cat /usr/local/solusvm/includes/solusvm.conf \
    | awk -F ":" '{print $1}') -u$(cat /usr/local/solusvm/includes/solusvm.conf \
    | awk -F ":" '{print $2}') < database_name
Note: replace `database_name` with the actual name. Also, you can fetch the required information about database connection manually from /usr/local/solusvm/includes/solusvm.conf file, see About solusvm.conf file on Master Node
